Safeguarding & Online Safety

At West Midlands Education and Skills, we place a priority upon safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. This means

  • providing help and support to meet the needs of children as soon as problems emerge
  • protecting children from maltreatment, inside or outside the home, including online
  • preventing the impairment of children’s mental and physical health or development
  • ensuring that children grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care
  • taking action to enable all children to have the best outcomes

Ofsted state, “The arrangements for safeguarding are effective.”

We aim to keep all of our students safe. There are CCTV cameras around the school. CCTV images are used to ensure the safety of pupils, visitors and staff and the protection of West Midlands Education and Skills grounds and contents. Parents are asked to contact School first if they wish to meet with a staff member and on visiting School to report directly to Reception. We will act to ensure that West Midlands Education and Skills remains a safe place for pupils, for staff, and for other members of our community.
